A quick look into music producer and events organiser Kieron Edwards' journey to create multi-genre events in Bristol, South West's bustling city centre.

Bristol-born music business student at BIMM university, talks about his views on how he became to be. From listening to Eminem in his bedroom to producing his own music and growing a brand, Eye Dear continues to make his way.

What kind of creative work do you do / hope to do?

Creative work that can help other people in difficult situations. That's the goal but I am still working on it. Things can be tough to figure out what you really want to do.

How did you start your creative journey? What or who has inspired you?

I started to fall into rap when I discovered Eminem, it wasn't till later years that I tried to start making my own music. In my bedroom I began listening and learning about music in more depth.

What challenges have you faced along the way and how did you overcome them?

I have to grown as a person and as someone within the industry, I had to learn how to be a boss. It can be tough for sure, the deadlines, the goals, but you got to get yourself through.

Any lessons you've learnt? Advice for others?

To focus on building a strong team around you. Don't give up and don't stop, that's what I think. Easier said than done but keep it up.

Any final comments / thoughts?

I think more opportunities need to be opened for females within in the industry. There is a male dominated world, yes I am a man but I think it should be easier for women to be in business.
